Lithium Ion and Lithium Iron Batteries

This battery uses Lithium iron phosphate, is this element is hazardous for human being?

Lithium iron phosphate, also known as LFP or LiFePO4, this element is considered to be the safest material among lithium in batteries, not hazardous for human, and never explode.

One important advantage of LFP over other lithium-ion chemistries is thermal and chemical stability, which improves battery safety. LiFePO4 is an intrinsically safer cathode material than LiCoO2 and manganese spinel. The Fe–P–O bond is stronger than the Co–O bond, so that when abused, (short-circuited, overheated, etc.) the oxygen atoms are much harder to remove. This stabilization of the redox energies also helps fast ion migration.

As lithium migrates out of the cathode in a LiCoO2 cell, the CoO2 undergoes non-linear expansion that affects the structural integrity of the cell. The fully lithiated and unlithiated states of LiFePO4 are structurally similar which means that LiFePO4 cells are more structurally stable than LiCoO2 cells. As a result, lithium iron phosphate cells are much harder to ignite in the event of mishandling (especially during charge) although any fully charged battery can only dissipate overcharge energy as heat. Therefore, failure of the battery through misuse is still possible. It is commonly accepted that LiFePO4 battery does not decompose at high temperatures.

Is it hazardous for environment?

LiFePO4 batteries can guarantee minimal impact to the environment. LiFePO4 batteries are non-toxic, non-contaminating and contain no rare earth metals, making them an environmentally conscious choice. Lead acid and nickel oxide lithium batteries, by comparison, carry significant environmental risk (especially lead acid, as internal chemicals degrade structure over time and eventually cause leakage).

Clearance Certificate from your government/ Proper Authority for production.

Could you give us a sample of the certificate to avoid misunderstanding.

Any history of explosion of battery.

There is never a case of LFP battery explosion.

LiFePO4 batteries are best known for their strong safety profile, the result of extremely stable chemistry. When subjected to hazardous events, such as collision or short-circuiting, they won’t explode or catch fire, significantly reducing any chance of harm.

There are several cells in the battery, if any one of them are spoiled, is it make a close circuit internally?

Is there any protection used to protect internal short circuit?

We use Mult-functional BMS with built-in IC compatible with military standards for over-current, over-discharge, over-charge, short-circuit, adverse-polarity connection, balancing functions. So when cells are bad, the whole battery pack will stop working. And it will not make internal short circuit. You can contact us or your local battery professional repair shops for replacement.

If any cell spoiled, is it possible to replace that?

Yes, it is possible to replace that. You can let the professional workers help you.

How we provide warranty to our customer?

It’s depend on yourself, but we will provide you the best after-sales service and technical support.

If the battery does not work properly, how you provide us warranty?

During the warranty period of 12 months after purchase, OSN will be responsible for the free repair or replacement and technical assistance for the faulty products. The damage caused by misuse is not covered in the warranty..(please show us photo and video for evidence).Damaged caused by other factors or after the warranty period,OSN will continue to provide services at a reasonable cost to the customer.
